Sunday at the Nazareth Speedway saw a nice sunny day. The
Sunday also saw the arival of Gary Porter in the Carolina Crusher. This
meant one of the non-invitational trucks would not go through to the racing,
that afternoon.
All the trucks would run a qualifying run on both lanes of the track.
First up to qualify was Gary Porter in Carolina Crusher & Diehl
Wilson in Virginia Giant. This was Gary's first time on this course, &
on his second qualifying run, Gary would qualify 4th.

Next up to qualify was Blown Thunder & Eradicator. Eradicator,
who was running a smaller motor than any of the other trucks, was unable
to put in a fast run in his two qualifying run. This meant Andy Slifko
didn't make it into the afternoons racing.

The next two trucks to qualify were Equalizer & Tonka. Saturday
nights winner Eric Tack in the Tonka truck, put in the second fastest qualifying
run of the day, on his first qualifying run.

Up next to qualify was the Nitro Fish & Executioner trucks. The
Hall brothers had been up until late the night before putting a new motor
in the truck, after blowing it up the night before. The engine seemed to
be working well, as Mark Hall qualified 3rd in his second qualifying run.
Nitro Fish seemed to be having problems, & was unable to make his first
qualifying run, but still managed to qualify 5th, during his second run.

The following two trucks to qualify were Tropical Thunder & Sudden
Impact. Tropical Thunder had problems for his first qualifying run &
was unable to make a pass. Seasock in Sudden Impact had a good qualifyin
run, but with fast times being produced all day, he was only able to qualify
7th.

A suprise qualifying run saw Randy Brown in Pure Adrenalin, beating
Dan Patrick in Samson. Rookie driver Randy Brown qualified 6th. Samson
must have been having problems, as Dan only managed to qualify in 11th
place.

The last truck to qualify was Dan Runte in BIGFOOT. With an odd amount
of trucks to qualify, BIGFOOT qualified on his own. This didn't deter Dan,
who on his first run, had the quickest qualifying run.
