MONSTER PATROL
TRUCK NAME: Monster Patrol
MAKE: 1996 Chevrolet pickup
OWNER: Paul Shafer
DRIVERS: Paul Shafer, Tom Meents & Bill Haislet
TOWN/CITY:Portage, Indiana
ENGINE SIZE: 572cubic inch Chevy
INFORMATION: Paul Shafer started his racing career in stock car racing
& then moved onto mud racing. His first mud racer was called the 'Mud
Patrol' which he won the 1991 U.S. Hot Rod Mud Racing World Championship
in. In 1993 he decided to move into racing monster trucks, so it was inevitable
that the trucks name should be called Monster Patrol, and keeping with
the mud racing tradition he added a big wing spoiler on the back of his
truck, & another feature on the truck which makes it stand out, are
the police lights on top of the cab. The Monster Patrol finished 7th in
the 1996 Penda Points Series. At the 1997 Truck Fest
Tom Meents, took the Monster Patrol truck to the finals, all three days of the event. He won the first day against the Grave Digger truck, but lost in the finals against Bear Foot & BIGFOOT on the other two days. But to make it to the final each day, show's that the truck is one of the best.
