My palms became sweaty and my heart began to race, with the adrenaline rush from the sound of the 1500hp motors being fired up in the pits.

First round of side by side elimination saw Robby Gray in his West Virginia Mountaineer face up against Pat Suma in Thrasher.

Robby in the Mountaineer took the first victory of the night.

The second race of round one, saw the American Guardian face off against Jeff Bursey in Extreme Towasaurus Wrex. American Guardian moved onto round two, after taking the victory.

Mike Nitzke in Rambo faced off against Devils Dodge in the third race of the first round. Rambo took a convincing win over Frank Fonte driving Devils Dodge, & also went through to the next round.

Bearfoot came out last with a by-run, after having the fastest qualifying time. With only having to cross the finish line by himself to move into the second round, which he did.
