Wheelie Contest
After all the driver introductions, it was time for the Monster Trucks
to get down to some car crushing action. In between the mud hills
for the side by side racing, there was a set of cars, for the trucks to
crush. The competition was for the fans to judge which truck could get
highest in the air.
Rick Busca was first up in his 95 Ford, Chicago Outlaw.
He took his truck over the cars a number times, much to the enjoyment
of the crowd.
In his first time driving a Monster Truck, Brian Manson took the
controls of the Godzilla truck.
He took the truck over the crushed cars a couple of times. This was
Brians first experience of car crushing.
Eric Tack came out storming, in the Firestone Wilderness. He even
took the truck over the crushed cars the opposite way, which didn't leave
much room to stop the truck.
Bobby Holman launched his truck way up into the air, making it
look so easy.
After making three passes over the cars, Bob managed to do a doughnut
in the small amount of room at the end of the race track, which was the
shut down area. He sent dirt flying around the arena
Dan Runte came out & put the BIGFOOT truck to work.
Not as high in the air as Bob Holman though !!
Dan showed his ability to pull wheelies, whatever the location,
or limited space.
He also tried to do a doughnut, but again Bob Holman, had seemed
to out do the BIGFOOT truck.
After all the trucks had done their stuff, it was time for the crowd
to cheer & the kids to hold up their Checkered Flags to choose the winner.
It was pretty close between BIGFOOT & Holman's BEAST, but Bobby Holman
was declared the winner, & was given a by-run for the side by side
racing.
Freestyle Winner: Homan's BEAST
