Friday evening saw the beginning of a fun packed weekend of Monster
Truck racing.
After the driver introductions, & the American National Anthem,
it was time to get down to some car crushing action.
With the pairings already pre-determined, each Monster Truck was
given a chance to run the course, to get the feel of the track.
First to break the track in, was Andy Hoffman in his Dodge Nitemare
truck. Followed by Andy Slifko in the Eradicator truck, who broke his transmission
on his first run. Dan Runte in the BIGFOOT 14 truck, had a good first run,
launching the truck way into the air.
BIGFOOT
Next to have a practice run, was Gun Slinger, then Samson, Overkill,
followed by Black Stallion & then finally Executioner.
The first round of side by side Monster Truck racing saw the Nitemare
truck having a by-run, due to the Eradicator not being able to race.

The next pairing saw BIGFOOT go up against Scott Harstock, in the Gun
Slinger truck, with BIGFOOT taking the win.

truck.
Samson & Overkill
Samson launched way up into the air & flew over the finish line,
taking the win over Overkill.
The last race was between Black Stallion & Executioner.
As both trucks lined up Executioner seemed to have some problems
re-starting his engine, after having the kill radio checked.
After a couple of minutes, Tim Hall was towed off the track, &
Black Stallion also had a by-run.
Semi final action saw Mike Vaters in the Black Stallion truck, go

With the sky turning gray & the rain on it's way the first Monster
Truck finals of Bloomsburg 99, saw BIGFOOT & Samson go head to head.
In a very close competition, Dan Partrick in the Samson truck took
the first win of the weekend. The heavens then opened which bought a timely
end to Fridays racing.
Back in the pits, many of the teams where having problems with their
trucks. Eradicator had to fit a new transmission. BIGFOOT & Executioner, also spent the evening, working on their trucks.
