Sunday afternoon saw freestyle by all of the Monster Trucks, after
the racing.
But when it came time for Mike Vaters in Black Stallion to do his,
he had decided he wanted to something a little different.
And different he did.
Mike Vaters jumped his Black Stallion Monster Truck, over Andy Hoffmans
Nitemare Monster Truck.
Mike & Andy had discussed about doing it the day before, but
Mike decided as his truck wasn't running 100% on the saturday night, he
would wait until the Sunday. They had an agreement, that if Mike landed
on the Nitemare truck, he would pay for any damages, or even buy the truck
from Andy. Both drivers had shows to do only a couple of days later, so
it was quite a risk for both drivers.
After Andy had finished doing his freestyle, he parked the truck,
behind a dirt hill ramp. Mike actually told Andy to move the truck back
away from the hill slightly, as he had parked it pretty close to it.
With a worried look on Andy's face, as he walked away from his parked
truck, thinking to himself, what the hell was he doing letting Mike do
this.
As Mike fired up the engine to the Black Stalion truck, & with
the kill switches being checked, before he did the jump.
As he sped towards the dirt rump, the crowd went wild, as they could
guess, what he was about to do.

With the crowd on their feet, as they watched this remarkable feat.
A sigh of relief was felt by all, as Black Stallion made the jump without
hitting the Nitemare truck. An even bigger sigh of relief for Andy
Hoffman !
Mike went over the cars one last time, to bring the show to an end.
