The day I visited the Home of BIGFOOT, I was fourtunate to be given
a guided tour of the shop, by the owner & creator of BIGFOOT, Bob
Chandler.
As he showed me around, he pointed out where they work on the trucks,
where they spray paint the bodies & frames,
BIGFOOT 9
and told me that they buy in the body panels un-painted & spray
them at the shop. He showed me where they make speciality parts for the
trucks & pointed out their stock of spare truck bodies, all painted
in the varied BIGFOOT colors.
BIGFOOT body parts
At the rear of the building, there are more body parts, access to the
work bays & painting bay, as well as some of the many BIGFOOT haulers,
& trailers.
Behind the shop
One of many BIGFOOT Haulers
Bob Chandler, also pointed out the frame & body of BIGFOOT
16, which he told me, they where in no rush to complete the truck,
as they spend most of their time keeping their current trucks in working
order. His mechanics tend to work on it when they have some spare time
on their hands. This means there is no confirmed date, to
when you will be able to see BIGFOOT 16 in action.
One thing I did notice on the wall of the shop, is the computer diagram,
of the tublar frame to BIGFOOT 8, & the proceeding trucks.
