INFORMATION: The Bad Influence truck is Donny Smith's second truck. This truck has it's engine mounted in the middle of the truck, & the drivers seat is also mounted in the middle of the cab. The truck has an Extreme Motorsports custom tube chassis & has eight nitrogen gas shocks. the truck rides on Goodyear tires. The truck weighs 9,720 pounds.
Donny has been racing monster trucks for seven years. He got interested in monster trucks when taking his his lifted pick-up truck to shows, & he had a dream to go bigger.  In 1988 Donny's favourite monster truck 'Lon Ranger', owned & driven by Gary Bauer, was in town to do a show. The truck was on display at a local Ford dealership, so Donny drove down in his lifted Ranger pick-up truck, & began talking about trucks to Gary Bauer. Donny told him that Lon Ranger was hs favourite truck & that he wanted to do his show truck like that or build one like it. Donny & Gary stayed in touch, then one day, a few years later, Gary phoned Donny & told him he was retiring & wanted to sell the Lon Ranger truck. They agreed on a price, & Donny purchased it. Donny raced that Lon Ranger truck for a number of years. He built the Bad Influence truck himself.
