Welcome to my Monster Truck Website
Hi there, & thanks for checking out the ~Monster Trucks U.K.~ website.

So who am I ?
Well my name is Andrew Fielder & I created this site back in November 1996. That was back in the days when there wasn't many other Monster Truck sites on the net.
Today there is a lot of sites out there, be it official websites, or ones done by fans, like this site. The internet is the number one source for Monster Truck information.

So how did I get into Monster Trucks ?
I'd always been a fan of Monster trucks after I saw the TV show, "Battle of the Monster Trucks" back in 1985. However I'm from England, where Monster Trucks aren't that popular, so all I had was the TV Specials, that would usually be on around Christmas time, or holiday's.
Over the years I would tape the shows from the TV, & would buy Monster Truck video's  & have now built up quite a large collection.
There was a few years in the early nineties, when there wasn't any shows on TV or video's available in the UK, which left me out of the sport for a while.

So why did I start this website ?
Well after seeing BIGFOOT 6 while on tour in the UK in 1993, I managed to get some pictures of the truck, along with the Rocket & Miami Thunder trucks.
A couple of years later, when I first got onto the internet I found there where very few website with Monster Trucks. I decided I'd make a website of my own. I got a free website from Geocities & had the address for a while, before I actually got any pictures on the site.
For a while all I had was a couple of pictures of BIGFOOT 6 & a little bit of information, but lots of ideas. Around the same time BIGFOOT had got it's site online, & allowed me to use some of the pictures from their photo gallery.
Those pictures belonged to Dave Huntoon, who then provided me with other pictures of his, to help me build my website.
In building this website, I have made & met many friends from all over the world, & have become good friends with many Monster Truck drivers in the USA, interviewed for TV & have been able to visit the USA on vacation a number of times & attend shows & hang out with drivers.

Me & Jerry Bernado from ESPN

Over the years, the site has grown quite big & is sometimes quite hard to keep it updated, as this site is done in my spare time.
I am actually a proffessional Chef, & after working in a number of top hotels in London for over six years, I made a big move, & relocated from England to the USA in November 1999.
After living in the state of Virginia for 6 1/2 years, I then moved to Florida in 2005 where I currently reside, still working as a Chef.

Thank you again for checking out my site,

Andrew Fielder

Evan Chamberlain (4/27/2010)
Hi There,
I am wondering if you can help me out … I make a travel show for IRISH TV and we would love to do a story on Monster Trucks/ Big Foots or something like this … I’m looking for a location that will fit in with my schedule as I know I am narrowly missing some …
My dates are as follows :
IN HALIFAX FROM MAY 8TH – MAY 11TH
IN NEW BRUNSWICK FROM MAY 12TH – MAY 14TH
IN QUEBEC AND MONTREAL FROM MAY 15TH – MAY 19TH
IN OTTAWA AND TORONTO FROM MAY 20TH TO MAY MAY 24TH
IN NIAGARA, STRATFORD, MANTOULIN ISLAND AND THUNDER BAY MAY 25TH – MAY 30TH
YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DRIECTION …. EVEN IF WE COULD LINK UP WITH THE GUYS AS THEY SET UP AND PRACTICE ON THE CIRCUIT …
Here’s the Blurb on the Show >>>>
We are currently in preproduction for a new Travel Series on the National Television Channel, TG4, the home of the best alternative travel programming in Ireland. The new series will feature the Award Winning travel presenter, Hector O hEochagáin, making his way across Canada, from Nova Scotia to the Yukon.
Hector is the Best Known International Traveller in Ireland. He’s been on the beat with the NYPD in New York City, taken an undercover tour of Bolivia’s most notorious prison, been on stage with the Ladyboys in Bangkok, trained with the Foreign Legion in French Guyana, sang Irish songs with the Indians of the Amazon in Brazil, got his kit off with the world-famous Chippendales in the Rio in Vegas, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, ridden with the cowboys in Nashville, travelled the full Circle of Australia from Sydney to Sydney, and had a chinwag with Hugh Hefner and the Playboy bunnies at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills … The list goes on and on ... Most recently he has taken the Epic Trip overland in Africa from Cairo to Cape Town with his highly successful series "Hector san Afraic" and found the best the United Kingdom has to offer in ''Hector san UK''.
However there is one country which has always been on Hector's already extensive travel list, and in 2010 that is his goal !
So Canada here we come ....
We are hoping to depart for Canada in May 2010 on a four week tour which will cover the first half of our journey, returning later in the year to visit the remaining provinces and complete the series. During his trip Hector will present his own unique and hilarious perspective on what he sees and does in each of the following locations, Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Hector likes to eat. He likes to play. He likes to shop. Unfortunately he doesn't have much time so often it is a race against the clock to try out all of the wonderful things he has heard about in each place. But his biggest problem is not the incessant ticking of the clock : he is easily distracted by shopkeepers, passer's by and even people's pets. As talented as he is at asking the questions he is often more interested in sating others' curiosity.
'Hector I gCeanada' (HECTOR IN CANADA) is an 8 part series of half hour programmes to be broadcast in Winter 2010 and judging by his history Hector will once again draw in a very large viewership.
The programme is shot using a Sony High Def Digital camera , no bigger that an ordinary Hi 8 camera. There is no extraneous sound or lighting equipment. The whole operation is of necessity very compact. With a crew of 3 (which includes Hector) and the camera as the sole piece of equipment we will are of little distraction.

Let me know your thoughts …
Kindest Regards,
Evan

Thanks so much. I'll try that route.

Shea-
I don't have one, and I could imagine it must be difficult looking for one. The best advice I can give you is to search eBay and Amazon. Keep searching each week because one might pop up. You might be able to set an alert in Ebay if it finds any new matches.

Shea (8/30/2009)
I was wondering if you could assist?
I have two boys ages 4 and 11. We are huge fans of the Monster Truck Family and enjoy and attend all the Monster Truck shows that take place here in Miami, Fl. For more than 1 1/2 years I have been seaching for the Hot Wheels toy version of the Bulldozer truck. To no avail, and with such dissappointment, we have yet to locate one. I have traveled throughout the United States searching for one in addition to researching on line at all possible web sites. I was wondering if you could help us? My youngest son ONLY wants the Bulldozer Monster truck. Where can we find the toy version..I believe it is the 1:48 scale or 1:24 scale. We have the Speed Demon version and the larger version but within his collection of more than 50 different Monster Trucks, Bulldozer is the only one missing. Please help us in our pursuit to completing our collection and making my son happy.
Yours truly,
Shea
